In the Military, being “Golden” means being perfect, a person or
situation that cannot be improved upon, and is perfect in every way.

In Honor of one Muleskinner that was truly golden, we award the
Title of “Golden Mule” to Roger Montgomery 1SG USA Ret.

Roger was a Crew chief and gunner that served with the Muleskinners
As they trained at Fort Benning and deployed with them to Vietnam
In 1967, serving with courage and honor alongside his brothers in arms
during his full tour with the 242nd ASHC.
